What qualities matter in church leadership?
Biblical character, humility, sound understanding of the faith, teachability and consistent service are central. The biblical qualifications in 1 Timothy 3:1–13 and Titus 1:5–9 provide important guidance for church leadership.
Can I grow as a leader without holding a title?
Yes. You can develop leadership qualities through faithful service, wise decisions, encouragement and a consistent Christian example. Speak with a church leader about opportunities appropriate to your stage of growth.
Does completing training guarantee a leadership position?
Training supports your growth, but it should not be understood as a promise of appointment. Discuss role requirements and the appointment process with church leadership.
